West side i belive it is... Down Eagle Lake Road bout 22 km.... to the pit !

This is a great run if ya love mud......
And if ya dont like mud they have a Easy route... Its also fun....

Do the easy route then go back and do the mud, by that time most will be thru it..

Ummmm Yes... and No... or wait ... other way around...

No I am not going as I have a wedding to go to :( Family says I have to attend... grrrrrr

As for the poker run.... The South River Legion runs this run twice a year and the proceeds go to the legion, not a charity but.. they are also tryin to keep the legion open.

its $40 I believe? and that includes a bbq lunch.. your poker cards, a dinner at the legion in evening and lots of prizes...

My whole group would probably be going if i didnt have a wedding :(

If you do this run take the mud route then return and do the easy route...

just doing the easy route wont last long enough... but the easy route is muddy

It's exactly the same run as the spring run. Usually they don't get more than 50 people in the fall (that can be a good thing or a bad thing - depending on what you like).

It's been pretty dry for the last month so I wouldn't expect as much mud as the spring. The spring has the winter moisture hanging in plus the rains.

It's a nice course and a great area especially for wildlife. Bring a gun and get a rabbit, grouse or squirrel - all now open in this area - and go off their trails. Then you could add some hunting - maybe on Sunday (camp out) !!

Have fun!

Can anyone post some more details about the South River Run, what time is the registration, and where exactly is the ride. Anyone from the Orillia area going up. I might be able to make this one.

The Fall Run is identical to the Spring Run. Same place - same times - same lunch, same supper - same trails- and I'd imagine same prices.

As for Hunting Suggestion - this Area is WMU #47 - and here's what's open.

BLACK BEAR
September 4 – November 30
Fixed Date from the Tuesday following Labour Day to November 30

WOLF
September 15 - March 31 (Fixed Date)
Wolf License Required (Games License Insufficient)
License Fee $10 ($250 Non-Resident)
2 Licenses per Person
Party Hunting Not Allowed

GREY/BLACK SQUIRREL
September 15 - March 31 (Fixed Date)
Daily/Possession Limit -10

RABBIT/HARE
September 1 - June 15 (Fixed Date)
Cottontail/European Hare – Limit 6
Varying Hare – No Limit

PHEASANT/GROUSE
September 20 – December 15 (Fixed Date)
Pheasant – Limit 3
Sharp-Tailed Grouse and Ptarmigan
Daily Limit 5 of each – Possession Limit 15 of each
Ruffed/Spruce Grouse
Daily Combined Limit 5 - Possession Limit 15 of each

The Grouse will be open on the Sunday. (Mmmmmm)

Just an idea - a good excuse for staying the weekend and enjoying the fall season!!

Weather's supposed to be ideal !!

Have Fun!
